A novel approach for real-time equivalent bandwidth estimation

In real-time multimedia applications, the delay is an importantnperformance metric as well as packet loss probability (PLP). In thisnpaper, based on their statistical characteristics and with the PLP andnthe delay considered, a computationally simple approximate expressionnfor the equivalent bandwidth of multimedia applications, has beennproposed for real-time bandwidth estimation and management.
