摘要

An indoor, ultra low power, hybrid signaling localization system is proposed that can position mobile devices with cm-accuracy. The concept is based on the hybrid Time Of Flight principle, which determine distances based on the difference in propagation velocity of mechanical and electromagnetic waves. Recent developments in both the acoustic as well as the radio frequency backscattering domain make it possible to obtain energy neutrality, whilst signal processing can improve the accuracy. A demonstrator proves the principles of this system in a real-life set-up.
