We examined the metrological properties ofrnsurface finish on cylindrical workpiece using arndiamond burnishing tool and obtained thernfollowing concluding remarks.rnThe proposed burnishing process decreasesrnsurface roughness by about 10% and alsornroundness by about 1/30.rnExcessive burnishing load doesn't alwaysrnimprove the surface roughness and roundnessrnin this burnishing process.rnPlastic deformation of the surface layer byrnburnishing tool is exited to a depth of less than 4mm in the case of the quenched material. The estimation method of change in diameter using algorithm conception of V-parameter deliberated at ISO is suggested and it clarified with practically applying considering before and after burnished surface.
