摘要

This study proposes a new analysis method for the displacement behavior of concrete gravity dams, which clarifies the effect of each factor from the view point of stress and strain. The displacement of dam body and foundation rock during the initial impoundment is one of the most important items for observing the behavior, from the view point of dam safety. The displacement represent the structural phenomena observed in dams comprehensively. It should be noted that the seasonal temperature changes, as well as changes in the reservoir water level, affect the dam body displacement significantly. The safety assessment of dams, however, has been performed without the sufficient consideration on the factors affecting displacement from the view point of stress and strain.
