This study presents a numerical investigation on the mechanism ofrnnonlinear wave-induced porous seabed response. The fully dynamicrnequations based on Biot's theory are solved for the poro-elastic seabedrnbehavior. The nonlinear wave pressure on seabed surface is calculatedrnby an empirical formula available, which is able to consider effects ofrnboth wave skewness and wave asymmetry. A parametric study isrnperformed to analyze seabed behavior with respect to various degreesrnof wave nonlinearity. It is shown that wave skewness and asymmetryrnconsiderably modify the spatial and temporal distribution pattern ofrnpore pressure by changing the wave shapes.
