The concentrically compressive behaviour of Recycled Aggregate Concrete (RAC) FilledrnStainless Steel Tube (RACFSST) stub columns was experimentally studied, and a total of 14 composite specimensrnwere tested. The experiments were carried out on circular and square specimens with recycled aggregaternreplacement ratio of 0, 25%, 50% and 75%, and both recycled coarse aggregates and recycled fine aggregatesrnwere used in the tests. The main objectives of the tests were threefold: first, to describe a series of tests onrnRACFSST stub columns; second, to evaluate the effects of cross-section type and recycled aggregate replacementrnratio on the behaviour of RACFSST stub columns; and finally, to predict the load versus deformationrnrelation of RACFSST stub columns by a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model. The test results indicated that thernRACFSST stub columns subjected to concentric compression had the stable load versus deformation response,rnand the compressive behaviour of RACFSST stub columns were significantly affected by the recycled aggregaternreplacement ratio. Moreover, the predicted load versus deformation relation of RACFSST stub columns wasrngenerally agreed well with the tested results.
