SPAN: Tightly coupled thermal and electrical simulation

摘要

A method is presented to combine solvers for ordinary and partialndifferential equations, like SPICE and ANSYS, for thermal-electricalnanalysis of integrated circuits or systems. A sketch of a firstnprototype program (SPAN) is given together with the theoreticalnbackground, which makes use of convergence principles from waveformnrelaxation. The approach can also be extended to more general problemsnwithin mechatronics simulation
