An object-oriented design method for knowledge based systems

摘要

It is shown how the object-oriented (OO) paradigm and the KADSnmethodology's four-layer knowledge paradigm can be used to develop andesign method for knowledge-based systems (KBSs). An example is used tonillustrate how this method helps the knowledge engineer not only in thendesign of the system, but also in the implementation of this design intona workable prototype of the system. The method can be implemented in annOO expert system shell that has extended OO programming features.nLimitations in the use of state-of-the-art OO languages for knowledgenrepresentation are discussed
