Researches on very high-temperature gas-cooledrnreactors (VHTRs) are being conducted world-widely. Andrnlots of computational tools for reactor analysis confront arnproblem of double heterogeneity due to coated fuel particlesrnthat are randomly distributed in fuel regions.rnVarious methods for modeling the random distributionrnof fuel particles in Monte Carlo codes have beenrndeveloped. However, these methods don’t predictrnuncertainty of nuclear parameter from the randomness ofrnfuel particle distribution.rnIn this paper, the uncertainty of kinf for a fuel pinrnproblem of prismatic type VHTR from the randomrndistribution of fuel particles is analyzed by perturbationrntechniques.
