Study and Application of Carbon - Oxygen Ratio Logs Interpretation

Carbon - oxygen ratio logging(C/O Logging) ,a radioactive logging, and vary direct and effective for analysing and detecting oil, gas, water and water - out beds, is one of important monitor means for oilfields development at present. With the oilfield development, the underground situation is getting more and more complex, so that the C/O logging becomes more important, and it' s interpretation becomes more complicated. Therefore, it is an urgent task for log analysts to study and make full use of C/O logs, and to improve the interpretation methods. In this paper, some new C/O log interpretation methods are introduced, and then, some specific applications of these methods in Liaohe oilfields are provided.
