Protective coating is one of hte crucial techniques in modern gas turbine.This paper provides a comprehensive description on the coating designing,materals selection,processing,stress and failure analysis of thermal barrier coatings a the representative of contemporary advanced protective coatings of gas turbine.Fundamentals,technology and application perspective of the processing far from equilbrium for turbine4 blade protective coating are also given.
