Abstract: Some versions of a fast-acting multichannel polarization switch for use as a basic element of light-flux commutators are discussed. The feasibility of making a DKDP-based (10$+2$/ $MUL 10$+2$/ channels and more) polarization switch with improved optical characteristics is demonstrated. In the case of operating the device near the crystal phase transition point at the control signal frequency of 10$+8$/ Hz, the contrast was not less than 200:1. !2
