Planning for operations on-board the international space station

With the launch fo jthe first element ofjthe international space station in late 1997, scientists andengineers from around the world will have greater access to the space enirionment for research and commercial exploration. The ocmplexity and flexibilty of the international space station offers opportunities as well as challenges in planning on-orbit operations. IN order to make effective use of limited resources, while maximizing the results to the scientific, commercial, military and educational ocmmunities, the ISS operations planning community must balance many constraints nad criteria. The four disciplines must be aware of these constraints as well as the planing process ot plan and ocnduct their activities on-board ISS.
