Coherent control of the quqntum states of qubits (a quantum two-level systema) is one of the fundamental requirements in the quantum information technology. Becasue of their possible scalability to an integrated quantum circuit, many kinds of solid-state implementaton of a qubit has been proposed. Here we focus on one of the candidates utilizing small Josephson junctions [1], and review our experimental results on quantum coherence of the qubit.
