Uniform Load Capacity on Larch Structural Plywood for Wall Sheathing

China has been the largest country in plywood production. With the development of wood structure in China, plywood will be an important structural material in use. However, now use scope limits the evaluation of some performances. When any materials are applied for wall sheathings uniform load test is a necessary performance. Plywood of different thickness is manufactured according to independent developed technology on a production line. The uniform load capacity was evaluated for wall sheathing. The results show that both of those two types can meet the performance requirements for wall sheathings of PS2-04. It is suggested that the unnecessary high performance will be intentionally put down by veneer combination of larch or other species.
