The paper refers to the geotechnical works performed for completion, rehabilitation and further development of a sector of the Bucharest subway tunnel, work that has been abandoned in 1996 and flooded due to the stop of the dewatering system. The tunnel sector is 4.7 km long and includes two stations. For design there were ordered triaxial tests, both drained and undrained, performed on stress paths simulating the actual development of the state of stress in the "Bucharest intermediate clay", adjacent to the tunnel.
