摘要

The TEWI (Total Equivalent Warming Impact) method was developed within the framework of the Dutch Reduction Plan for non-CO_2 greenhouse gases. Within this program project developers can apply for financial support to develop their projects. Among other things the proposals have to be judged on their overall emission reduction potential for greenhouse gases (GHG). The developed TEWI concept provides a uniform method to calculate the potential changes in greenhouse gas emissions due to the implementation of reduction measures with different emission sources of non-CO_2 greenhouse gases. This paper elaborates on the developed TEWI-method and holds examples of the practical application of the method for the cooling sector and the semiconductor industry.
