摘要

A suitable functional in the form of a convoution of the magnetic vector potential in the space-time domain for transient eddy problem has been derived. It has been usd as the basis for a finite element formulation of electromagnetic fielod inelectromagnetic devices following the usual finite element variational procedure. The psace-time finite element method has then been used to compute the transient electromagnetic field in a practical transformer. Numerical illustrations indircate that the space-time finite element algorithm provides a rapid convergence to the exact solutions.
