Lidar and direct study of the atmosphere in the coastal zone

Results of more systematic investigarion of the aerosol structure of marine planetary boundary layer over a part of Black Sea coastal zone are presented. Lidar data are compared with atmospheric thermodynamic parameters, soil temperature and humidity, solar radiation and balance in air determined by conventional means. The lidar data are presented as two-dimensional images of the variation of the back-scattered laser signals.
