The Development of Chinese Tire Industry and the Rubber Demand

With the rapid development of automobile industry and highway transport of China and thecontinuous increase of tire demand,China has become the largest country of producing tire aswell as the largest country of consuming rubber in the world. In 2007,China produced 330million tires,including 230 million radial tires and 100 million bias tires. Radial tires include 50million all-steel radial tires and 180 million half-steel radial tires,which increased 30% and 26%respectively compared with last year. China exported over 140 million tires,which increased27.3% compared with last year. Total profits and taxes increased 50% compared with last year.According to statistic data,the tire industry of the whole country consumed 3.45 million tonsrubber in 2007,including 2.15 million tons NR.
