Effective Information Management and Dissemination in the Electronic Era

摘要

This paper focus on the issues of information access and the needs of the different sectors within the agricultural community and to design electronic information systems which deliver cost effective decision making and problem solving tools. And information and communication technologies offer for delivering information but to exploit this effectively requires discipline in two areas. Firstly creating an environment where users, creators and technologists interact to develop demand-led information resources and secondly acknowledgement, adoption and application of standards for managing information objects.
