Use of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) in Agricultural Extension Programs

This paper focus on the changes in technology proceed with organizational and social change. The rapid evolution of hardware and software devices will increase consumer demand for timely and accurate information. It is clear that there is an established need for on-field IT supported best management practices. Agricultural extension programs at the University of Florida take advantage of IT developments to enhance its ability to conduct nonresident education programs. Nomadic technology was proven to be advantageous to deliver information asynchronously to widely dispersed clients.
