In this paper, the effects of fiber types, volume fractions nad fabrication techniques of synthetic fibers on the plastic shrinkage cracking of cement mortars were reported. Two types of fiber were used i.e. polypropylene fiber and Nylon fiber. the test resutls show that the crack width and total weighted average value of crack were obviously decreased when certain volume of synthetic fiber was added into cement mortar. Polypropylene fiber made in drawing-wires technique (abbreviated as DW-PP fiber) had more obvious effects on the resistance of plastic shrinkage cracking than the polypropylene fiber made in fibrillated film technique (abbreviated as FF-PP fiber). Nylon fiber had a little better resistance effect than PP fiber when both fibers were made i nsame technique (drawing wires). The effect of fiber on the plastic shrinkage crackign resistance for cement mortar was increase with the increasing of fiber addition varied from 0.05
