SURVEY AND DESIGN IMPROVEMENT OF SOLAR HOUSES IN THE RURAL NORTHERN CHINA PLAIN

摘要

In the winter of 1987, 100 passive houses that had been used for more than one year were surveyed by means of a door to door interview and questionnaire. Data were collected mainly quantitatively to investigate the design related problems of the passive houses and passive solar devices. The survey emphasized the solar occupants' opinions and feelings toward the passive houses or passive solar devices. On the basis of the investigation and survey, many design recommendations were provided and several design improvements were made.
