摘要

3D woven structures are become more widely used in areas where the composite materials are subjected to shearing and impact loads. The requirement for the integrated 3D woven preforms with net shapes is potentially increased with new manufacturing methods of composite materials, e. g. , vacuum bag wet lay-up, are practically applied, so as to lower the composite manufacturing cost and improve the properties of the composite components. The 3D woven preforms with gradually changing cross-sections in one direction (lengthwise or widthwise) or two directions (both lengthwise and widthwise) changing from one face or both faces of the preform and their structure formations based on typical 3D orthogonal woven structures, pseudo-orthogonal and angular interlocking structures are discussed in this paper. Some of the preforms were woven on trial scales with the help of the looming drafts created by the formation method discussed in this research.
