The bending and torsion fatigue properties of High Performance Fibers, including Twaron~® 2000, Kevlar~® 129, Kevlar~® 29 and Dyneema~® SK65, are investigated by using the self-developed bending and torsion fatigue apparatus, respectively. The effects of pre-tension and bending angle on the bending fatigue lifetime of para-aramid fibers have been studied mainly to Twaron~® 2000 fiber. Likewise, the effects of pre-tension and twist angle on the torsion fatigue lifetime are also discussed. Meanwhile, the fracture-end morphology of the single fatigue tests has been observed in situ by using scanning electron microscope (SEM). Both bending and torsion fatigue failure mechanisms have been discussed according to the characteristics of the fiber structures and the fracture ends.
