摘要

This paper presents an appropriate testing methodlogy to check the conformity of an implementatin following ATM Adaptation Layer protocol in ATM/B-ISDN communication systems.In this paper,we analyze estrictions of the AAL type 5 protocol to develop Abtract Test Suites and a test system,and we compare test coverage of applciable test methods to choose the best test method for AAL Type 5 Common Part protocol testing.We decide to apply Distribute dTest Method for testing of the protocol because of its lager test coverage.To synchronize the execution of test cases between Upper Tester and Lower Tester in distributed testing environemtn,we propsoe a simple and efficient timingsynchronization mechanism.to illustrate the effectiveness of our test structure,we give an example of test cases descried n Tree and Tabular COmined Notation using the proposed timing synchronization mechanism.
