This paper will report on measurements of the electric near-field generated by a model transmitter at 2.0 GHz in close proximity to a cue model head filled with fluid simulating the dielectric properties of the human brain. Schmid & Partner Engineering AG near-field and dosimetry probes were used in conjunction with the DAsY-2 mini measurement software and a planar scanner to measure the electric near-field and calculate the specific absorption rate (SAR) in various planes. The measured data presented in this paper, as well as related information, is available at http://www.crc.ca/remc.
