In the spring of 2004, the third and final phase of thernCapital Replacement Project (CRP) at the PinellasrnCounty Resource Recovery Facility (PCRRF) wasrncompleted. Construction work was on schedule andrnwithin budget. The primary effort of the CRP was thernredesign, demolition and reconstruction of the threern1,050 TPD boilers from the top of the furnace (1st pass)rnthrough the economizer outlet (4th pass). This paperrnreviews the rebuild of the boilers along with therncorresponding improvements in municipal solid wastern(MSW) throughput and electrical generation via twornturbine generator (T/G) sets.
