As in many other fields in Statoil, Time-lapse (or 4D) seismicrndata is one of the important tools used for monitoring thernNorne field. However, in order to reduce uncertainties, anrnintegrated multidiscipline approach involving geophysics,rnreservoir engineering, geology and petrophysics has beenrnsuccessfully applied. As a result, a better history matchedrnreservoir model was obtained by improving the consistencyrnbetween the reservoir simulator results and the observed 4Drnseismic data. This led to an increased understanding of thernreservoir drainage and hence contributed to the process ofrnidentifying and prioritizing infill-drilling targets at Norne.
