摘要

Abstract: PEARLSS (Particulate Effects Analysis on Response Levels of Spaceborne Sensors) is a system response simulation which models the degradation of sensor performance due to particulates in the near field-of-view and deposited on optical surfaces. The code is constructed in a flexible, modular manner which uses experimental data wherever possible to keep assumptions to a minimum. The code is intended for performing parametric studies on design parameters such as sunshade geometry, system materials, temperatures, pre- launch cleanliness levels, and pointing directions. Sources of radiation currently modeled are the Sun and Earth, as well as user-defined source(s). This paper will present an overview of the PEARLSS approach, a description of the code structure, results to date, and on-going code developments.!19
