Topology Optimization with Manufacturing Constraints

摘要

In recent years, topology optimization has rapidly gained recognition as a powerful tool for generating design concepts in the early stage of the design process. However, its inability of producing designs that guarantees satisfaction for requirements of the desired manufacturing process has been shown to be a significant obstacle in leveraging its full potential. In this paper, method and algorithm are developed to include casting manufacturing constraints in the optimization process.
