SEAOC Wind Committee Status Report

In 2010, NCSEA authorized the formation of a Windrncommittee. SEAOC Board in turn authorized the then AdrnHoc Wind committee to formally become a standingrncommittee. The Committee has been charged withrn“responsibility for activities related to the provisions ofrnbuilding codes and national standards related to design,rnmaterials and construction requirements associated withrnwind resistance and performance of new and existingrnconstruction.” This paper will briefly discuss the backgroundrnof model code requirements, gives committee work plan andrna status report of committee activities during 2012-2013.
