摘要

The aim of the present work is the development of a Six Sigma project in an automotive manufacturing company, through the application of the DMAIC methodology. Using a Six Sigma program, technical and cultural strategies, we have reached the quality improvements in the assembly of the Front Wheel Group (F.W.G.), called a Technological Elementary Unit n. 3 (T.E.U.3). After a deep analysis of the most frequent customer claims, it was possible to put out the "Critical to Quality" (CtQ) characteristics of the product, whose improvement was the focus of the work. The application of the methodology facilitated a reduction in production discard and costs ("Cost Unit Product" decreasing trend), then, a productivity and customer satisfaction improvement. The above results are confirmed by the Sigma Level values achieved, about equal to six units, higher than the ones articulated in the Define phase.
