Stratigraphic reservoir exploration using seismic techniques in Shinan Area, Junggar Basin

It is well-known that the stratigraphic reservoir exploration in desert areas is of great potential, but rather difficult. This paper sums up the problems and solutions for stratigraphic reservoir exploration in Shinan desert area. A set of suitable seismic techniques has been developed after many experiments, analyses, and studies. They perform well in stratigraphic reservoir exploration with several medium-size reservoirs discovered.
