Most of the wells offshore and onshore require acidrnstimulation to remove formation damage and improvernproduction. The chemical fluid used in stimulation jobs andrnthe low pH of the returned fluid during the back- flow of thernacidised wells have an adverse effect on the production linesrnand downstream facilities.rnZADCO, in co-ordination with ADMA-OPCO have usedrnsuccessfully the Oil Re-Injection System as the most costrneffective, feasible and safe option to reduce the wellrnemissions to the natural environment during clean uprnoperations. This system utilises a single- phase pump tornboost the separator pressure and overcome the sea linernpressure.rnThis paper presents the two phases ZADCO have carried outrnfor reduction of well emissions during the clean uprnoperations, in which it highlights the main components of thernOil Re-Injection System and its impact on the rig such as thernspace constraints, power requirements and safety riskrnassessments. Also, it highlights the achievementsrnaccomplished by ZADCO and ADMA-OPCO and the futurernplans to achieve zero flaring.
