EFFICIENT BIOGAS PLANT FOR ENHANCED METHANE PRODUCTION

摘要

An efficient biogas reactor made of Mild Steel material with a fixed transparent Poly Carbonate dome was designed to improve the quality and quantity of methane production. To acquire an optimum temperature for microbial metabolism of methane production a transparent polycarbonate dome was used to trap the solar heat energy. The Mild Steel shell with epoxy coating of biogas reactor has an added advantage for local fabrications in which coated with epoxy will also enhance the trapping of heat energy and acts as an anticorrosive material as well. Biogas production to the tune of more than 40 L per kilogram of cowdung was achieved by using our novel biogas reactor.
