Increasing Lightfastness of Photochromic Dyes in Polyolefins

This study examines the effectiveness of several UV Absorbers (UVA's) and Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) on photochromic dyes. It determines which of the selected additives most effectively protect the dye and polymer matrix, thus extending photochromic functionality. It also examined if there is any increased value of using the additives at an increased concentration.
