Predictive Models for filter Cake Buildup and Filtrate Invasion with Non-Darcy Effects

Rapid filtration problems associated with the near-wellbore radial flow and near-fracture linear flow are modeled phenomenologically and the resulting equtions of hte models are solved numerically. The case studies presented demonstrate the effect of the non-Darcy flow on the filter cake thickness and filtrate volume for linear and radial filtration processes. The new models provide advantages over the previous models and provide better insights into the relevant filtration and filter cake formation processes.
