Results from these studies suggested that bone healing could be enhanced by tissue engineered constructs pre-cultured under dynamic flow environment in rotating bioreactors. These studies will serve as the foundation for future work aimed to address fundamental issues facing bone remodeling and formation, particularly regarding the effects of an in vitro dynamic flow environment in bioreactors on bone formation in vivo.
