摘要

Existing stress-strain models for FRP-confined concrete can be divided into two categories: design-oriented and analysis-oriented models. While a number of design-oriented models are available, they suffer from various deficiencies. A new stress-strain model is proposed in this paper for concrete confined by wrapped FRP with fibres only or predominantly in the hoop direction. This model is simple and therefore suitable for direct applications in design. A comparison with test data also shows that the proposed model is accurate.
