摘要

The magnetized cutting can decrease the coefficient of friction, cutting force and cutting heat etc. Furthermore, magnetized cutting also can obviously decrease the wear of tools and improve tool's service life. As the service life of tool is considered, many factors of magnetized cutting process such as the cutting speed, tool's magnetic field intensity, and remanence are discussed. Based on the experiments of turning and planing using high-speed steel cutting tools, the influence on the wear of magnetized cutting tools is compared with that of normal ones. Analyzing the fray curves of high-speed steel cutting tools under different magnetic field, magnetic polarity and remanence. The conclusion that the main parameter of magnetic cutting is the magnetic magnitude and the main factor influencing the wear of magnetic cutting tools is the cutting speed is concluded.
