摘要

A simulation-based method is proposed to study the stability criterion of car following models.Taking Gazis model for instance,this paper studies asymptotic stability of traffic flow consisting of two kinds of vehicles.Results of the study show that linear stability criterion of Gazis model is expanded into a two-dimensional area in the case of heterogeneous traffic flow.Characteristic parameters of heterogeneous traffic flow are defined,with which the influence of dispersion and discrete manner of model parameters on system stability is analyzed.
