The majority of the Russian spacecrafts are equipped with solar arrays(SA) consisting of separate flat rectangular panels of the frame structure design. The frames are made from carbon fiber rods with substrate made as the cloth network stretched on them. Before the installation and assembly of the solar cells (SC) the cloth net substrate made of the glass threads of special inter weaving are stretched on the frame construction, impregnated with the silicon lacquer and treated in vacuum. The cloth net substrates were developed in the 1960 s and since then till now the design of the panels with the cloth net substrates were considerably advanced in part of application of modern materials and a great body of experimental data was accumulated as a result of SA ground and flight tests.
