Improvement of detection rates via data association

摘要

Abstract: The relevance of data association is analyzed for the very crucial problem of detection. Statistical decision theory is applied in order to establish the optical detection test for a multisensor system. the optimal high threshold, optimal low threshold, and optimal linear tests are also derived. These four tests have been illustrated in the simplest case of a two-sensor system with a known and constant signal, and a modeling of the sensor noises. The decision regions are displayed and the performances are compared. !4
