摘要

This paper explores design and economic considerations for a new form of manned space facility known as a space business park. The space business park can support a wide variety of missions, such as space tourism, supporting both human and typical spaceflight hardware as payloads. Using both engineering and economic models, projected initial investment can be calculated. The engineering model was validated against actual human spaceflight platform designs. The cost model has assumptions that make it most useful for trend analysis. An example facility design is analyzed using the models presented in this paper.
