Amateur Radio in Space Communications

摘要

Starting from the ground operators in people's living rooms to the fancy high tech equipment on the Russian MIR, amateur radio has taken over. Ham radio is not only a form of mobile communication or Dxpedition, that is, distance communication over the various air waves, but also a vital factor in space communications. As proven by SAREX (Space Amateur Radio Experiment Team)(www.gsfc.nasa.gov/sarex, 1999) millions of ham operators all around the world get to share the joys and triumphs of space exploration with astronauts in space, through the wonderful world of amateur radio.
