Fluid circulation in the crust at the end of the Variscan orogeny is testified by numerous occurrences of hydrothermal alteration and ore deposition in the French Massif Central. Stable isotope work has been conducted to estimate the part of the main fluid reservoirs (magmatic, metamorphic and meteoric) involving in hydrothermal fluids.
