Orogenic quartz-sulfide-gold veins from the Klecza-Radomice Ore District in the Kaczawa Mts., (Western Sudetes) ― NE part of Bohemian Massif

Late-Hercynian gold-bearing quartz-sulfides veins and lodes post-date regional metamorphism of host rocks, and main phase of Variscan orogenic deformation (D1). Ore mineralizations are settled in the second order faults and shear-zones connected with regional extension that began in Early Carboniferous. Geological setting between metamorphic terranes, strong structural control of ores, low Au/Ag ratios, not significant base-metal contents, and low salinity of mineralizing fluids (<7 wt% NaCl equiv.) suggests the orogenic type of these gold deposits.
