Based on the experience of transmission systemrnoperation and planning home and abroad, the authorrnorganized a working group to spend two years tornmake the new criteria. The criteria have been issued inrn2001 and used for reliability assessment ofrnThree-gorges transmission system. A very practicalrnmethod of transmission reliability assessment basedrnon CCT(Critical Clearing Time) based Indices and thernSystem Instability Frequency (SIF) has beenrndeveloped with combination of deterministic andrnprobabilistic methodology. The reliability assessmentrnto the transmission system shows very significantrnresult.
